This training generally doesn't take long. Your "degree" or "diploma" in Reiki will come after a ceremony where you have been taught how to become "attuned" to the life force by the Reiki master. This ceremony will include the use of certain Reiki symbols, and will generally also involve meditative music and incense. Many of those in the new age culture embrace Reiki as a relaxing and healing discipline.
