Schools Offering Classes in Iridology:

Whoever said that the eyes were the gateways to the soul wasn't kidding. You can tell a lot about a person's health and wellbeing just by staring at the eyes. This is the underlying principle of Iridology. While there are many different approaches to this discipline, the basic idea is the same; monitor a person's health by studying their irises.

Iridology is diagnostic and not a treatment itself

As you work towards your certification, you might be surprised to discover that Iridology is not an actual therapy technique. Rather, it is a way of monitoring and diagnosing a patient. By studying color and pattern changes in the eye, you can detect corresponding dysfunctions in other parts of the body. A certain shade change might indicate liver failure, for example. Your Iridology courses will train you to make the necessary connections so that you can direct your patients to the appropriate physician or healer.

Science or myth

Although iridology still remains on the outskirts of established medical science, there exists overwhelming evidence that the method is extremely accurate. There's really no reason not to try it at least. It's totally non-invasive, and no medication is required. If your life could be saved by an eye exam, wouldn't you give it a shot? After all, it's a test and not a treatment.

Work opportunities

Many Iridology practitioners work in private clinics, wellness centers, and even spas. Hospitals have been embracing them to varying degrees, but they are far from mainstream at this point. If you decide to pursue this career, you can actually work from home provided that you have a large enough clientele base. All you need are a few grateful patients to start spreading the word.
